I bought a Rancillio Silvia. For my needs, it's great. It can espresso go up from cold in about 5 minutes. It is also very durable and easy to maintain. The only problem (if for the production groups) is that there is only one heating element, immediately switch to steam, it takes a while for it to cool back to brewing temp. I have a Krups XP5020 consumer grade semi-Automatic Espresso machine. I must say that it is decently good, but it is still a consumer grade machine. It has a "surefire" milk frother enhancer (Warning! Warning!). Incidentally, sometimes (only sometimes), it can produce decent micro foam with half and half milk. But lately, it could not foam for nuts. I thought the rubber cap that lets air in may be stuffed, so I used a needle to clean it. Could not see through the hole, so I used a small toothpick. I think it was a mistake. Coz now foams, but it makes big bubbles instead of the micro-foam I need. Any ideas how to fix the problem? Apart from this, a new machine coz I work on this. Thank you.

Hard to say whether a 12 or 10 Cup Coffee maker. What I would like to try is three heaped tablespoons of coffee per pot and then, when it is too weak, another tablespoon if they too, by reducing one tablespoon. Within two fifty-eight pots you receive the amount directly to your wishes. It takes a little experimentation. I have three tablespoons per 12 cup pot. I like my coffee, strong, so you may have, at the level it to your taste. The strength of the coffee will depend on what brand you buy and whether you start with Coffee Beans to grind and they (like me) or you buy the shit Preserves. I hate coffee in cans, it is the worst coffee in the world! So I use freshly roasted beans French toast me. Quality of beans and starch also affects them.
